Roys R Us® Redesigns Mobile Shopping Apps And Site
I found this to be particularly interesting as my son just started working at ToysRUs. I know that may not matter to the majority of my readers, but it makes me happy to know he is working. Period. And I think it’s quite funny that he’s landed a job at the famous toy store. (I am also hoping that an added benefit will be to make him not want children any time soon – he’s only 18.) 😉
Anyway, I try and stay on top of development of mobile apps in the market place, what’s happing and trending and all that. As we approach the holidays I expect more and more will be rolled out for public consumption.
The newly redesigned mobile site design features reviews and ratings of products, the ability to shop online and pick it up in the store, and crosses easily between Toys R Us and her sister company Babies R Us.
They even included a QR barcode scanner so you can get the full low down on the products while shopping.
I particularly like that they offer both a mobile design and tablet design. Something to consider in the coming year!
“”As more and more customers use their mobile devices to browse and shop with us, we have worked to enhance this channel by redesigning our mobile site and apps, and have launched a tablet-optimized experience, making it even easier to shop …”
It’s enough to make you want to be a Toys R Us Kid!
And since the season is decending on my family (get this, 4 birthdays, Thanksgiving and Christmas all in the next 6 weeks!) I will likely scope out the mobile app and do some shopping. How about you?
